Reed Sells Library Journals, Retains PW

NEW YORK, NY/AUTHORINK NEWS/03/03/10–Reed Business Information, which also owns Publishers Weekly, this week sold three of its properties to Dublin, Ohio-based Media Source.

Media Source has added Reed’s Library Journal, School Library Journal, and Library Hotline to its growing list of library services. The company already owns Horn Book and Junior Library Guild. The sale does not include Publishers Weekly.

Staffs at Library Journal, School Library Journal, and Library Hotline, will remain in the current location at 360 Park Avenue until the transition is complete.

Bryerman, who has been with the company for 22 years, said, “Everything at PW will proceed business as usual and I am committed to PW going forward.” Milliot and Coffey have nearly 40 years between them at PW. Coffey said, “This is a more exciting time than some might think. We are looking at this as an opportunity and remain committed as ever.” Added Milliot, “We are determined to keep PW a vital source of information, news and reviews for the book industry.”
