Infinity Quietly
Settles With Scholastic
for Harry Potter Breach
NEW YORK, NY/Authorlink News/12/3/08–Scholastic Inc. and Infinity Resources, Inc. which operates DeepDiscount.com, announced the day before Thanksgiving that they have satisfactorily resolved the lawsuit filed by Scholastic against Infinity relating to the illegal release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Scholastic sued Infinity, operator of the DeepDiscount e-tailer website, when it broke an embargo and shipped JK. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, before the July 21 release date. Scholastic last week posted a notice on its website that both Scholastic and Infinity “are pleased to put those issues behind them.” No other comment was made.
