Independent Publishers Tap Angela Bole as New Director

The Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) has named Angela Bole as its new executive director, replacing Florrie Binford Kichler, who is retiring in June. Ms. Bole, who currently serves as deputy executive director of the Book Industry Study Group, will assume her IBPA post July 17 and will be based in New York City.

Terry Nathan will continue as chief operating officer of IBPA. Steve Mettee was IBPA chair of the executive search.

Ms. Bole has been with the BISG since March 2009 and previously served two years as associate director and two years as marketing and communications manager.
