April 26 – May 2, 2010 Edition Hachette Restructures Nashville Operations
Hachette Group has restructured its Nashville division, which includes FaithWords and Center Street imprints, consolidating marketing oeprations in New York while expanding local digital programs. Most of the editorial offices will remain in Nashville, but advertising and promotion for both imprints will be moved to New York.
Rolf Zettersten, senior v-p of Hachette Book Group and publisher of the Nashville division, will hire online promotions and marketing managers in New York. The New York office will maintain an editor, publicist and an assistant.
About 20 people will remain in the Nashville office. The imprints will hire new staff in Nashville to offset the lobs lost to New York.
Moving some of the editorial operations to New York is expected to give the team a greater pportunity to inteface with literary agents and media there.
In Nashville, Jana Burson, who has been publicity director for the division for four years, has been promoted to editor for FaithWords with Shannon Stowe named to head publicity. Michele McKee was named to the new position of digital content director, working with editors and authors to develop content for use in enhanced e-books, apps and other digital initiatives.
