BISG Searches for New Executive Director
NEW YORK, NY/07/30/09–Dominique Raccah (Sourcebooks) and Andrew Weber (Random House), Co-Chairs of the Book Industry Study Group, Inc. (BISG), announced this week that it has formed a search committee to consider candidates for the position of BISG Executive Director, replacing Michael Healy, who is expected to become the Executive Director of the Book Rights Registry (BRR).
“The search committee is fully aware of the serious responsibility we face as we seek to find a new Executive Director for BISG. Our assignment is clear. We have defined what we expect of our new Executive Director, and we will find someone with the talent and skills to ensure that BISG continues its leadership role in both the physical supply chain and the digital supply chain,” Raccah said.
“We are seeking someone who is committed to and enthusiastic about the mission and programs of BISG, and who can build consensus around the many industry standards and research needs we will be focusing on over the coming years,” Weber noted. “The ideal candidate will provide leadership to the Board of Directors, BISG and BISAC committees, and a staff who have made BISG a leader in our industry.”
The BISG Executive Director will be based in New York City. Send nominations and applications in confidence to G. Angela Henry at BISGEDSearch2009@gmail.com.
