NEW YORK, NY/AUTHORLINK NEWS/January 28, 2010–Barnes & Noble has confirmed that earlier this month the company laid off an undisclosed number of digital-division employees, including its director of digital content, Mike Ferrari, according to an online report at Daily finance.
B&N representative Mary Ellen Keating confirmed to the media that the bookstore chain "did have some organizational changes" as part of a realignment at BN.com. Keating said B&N eliminated "a handful of jobs, while adding more in other areas." She added that the move was more about ensuring the company has the right skills and talent in place for an ambitious year ahead.
