Once Only Sold in Vatican
NEW YORK, NY/04/06/05Atria Books releases two hardcover books from The Private Prayers of Pope John Paul II series this week, originally published in Italian and until now, only available in the Vatican gift shop. In Italy, each book in the series sold out its 140,000 copy printing in less than ten days. .
On-sale April 5, 2005 is The Loving Heart (Atria Books; April 5, 2005; Price: $22; ISBN: 0-7434-4441-8; hardcover), the fourth installment in His Holiness’ acclaimed series, in which The Pope shares his timeless message of faith and hope in time of suffering. A collection of private prayers and poems, the late John Paul II advises us all to live each day to its fullest. Available on Friday, April 8, 2005 is A Life in Prayer (Atria Books; April 8, 2005; ISBN: 0-7434-4443-4; $22; hardcover), which is a tribute to his spiritual work and is comprised of selections from all four volumes of the series. A Life in Prayer will also be translated into Spanish and will carry an endorsement by Father Albert, (a popular Miami Priest), scheduled to release in May, 2005.
Atria Books acquired The Private Prayers of Pope John Paul II series in August 2001. The first three titles were Words of Inspiration (11/20/01), Invitation to Prayer (3/01/02), and Rosary Hour (10/22/02).
