HarperCollins UK Restructures
After Managing Director Departs
LONDON/Authorlink News/05/28/09–Harpercollins UK has announced it is restructuring after the departure of managing director Amanda Ridout. CEO and publisher Victoria Barnsley said the managing director’s post for HarperCollins, HarperFiction and Harper Nonfiction/Collins will be phased out and Belinda Budge has been promoted to publisher of HarperCollins UK, overseeing all publishing for HarperFiction and Nonfiction/Collins.
Budge will report directly to Barnsley. Simon Johnson, former director of business development, is now the new group commercial and business development director. COO Keith Mullock, reporting to Barnsley and to COO Keith Mullock.
Ridout had been with Harpercollins for seven years.
