UK’s Emerald Group
Opens Publishing
Office in Cambridge

NEW YORK, NY/8/14/2008–UK-based Emerald Group Publishing Limited, has opened a U.S. office in Cambridge, Mass, to be headed by David Butler as vice president. Butler, who formerly served with several Internet intelligence businesses, will oversee sales, strategic development and customer service in the U.S. Jim De Wolf has joined Emerald as vice president of academic marketing. De Wolf comes to Emerald from his former job as vice president of scientific and technical book publishing at Elsevier. 

Others named to the U.S. team are Bea Ramirez, formerly with Amigos Library Services, who will serve as Emerald’s key relationships manager; and Donna Reynolds, who comes from EBSCO, as business and development manager.

Emerald bills itself as the world’s leading publisher of business and management research, with 190 journals and a wide range of serials, series books in management and related fields. About 500 book titles are now in print, along with the company’s many journals.
