Name: eReader.com

DURHAM, NC/06/01/04—PowerByHand, the premier provider of mobile content delivery solutions, today announced that it has re-launched its popular Palm Digital Media website, the world's largest and most popular electronic book store, to better reflect its expanded offerings and enhanced user experience. The new site, www.eReader.com, offers customers a choice of more than 13,000 popular titles from more than 40 categories, with hundreds of new books added every month. eReader eBooks can be viewed not only on the Palm OS, but also on Pocket PC, Windows and Macintosh platforms.

"Our redesigned eReader.com store provides the most comprehensive selection and user friendly shopping experience in the market," said Mike Violano, vice president and general manager, eBooks and eReader at PowerByHand. "Our new name also positions us to better reach and satisfy millions of Pocket PC users who can take eBooks with them anywhere, anytime."

"We've been very pleased with the strong growth we've seen from eReader.com," said Keith Titan, vice president of new media at Random House, Inc. "Their creative and aggressive marketing, mixed with a consumer-friendly experience have been a successful formula for expanding the eBook market."

Author James BeauSeigneur is among the new ranks of eBook enthusiasts. "Although my books have been bestsellers in print, they have only been available as eBooks since March 2004," said BeauSeigneur. "I am thrilled to see that Acts of God and my other Christ Clone trilogy titles are doing so well at eReader.com."

In addition to the new website, PowerByHand has renamed its award-winning eBook reading software, Palm Reader, to eReader to highlight its cross-platform capabilities. eReader is an intuitive and powerful application for viewing eBooks on both Palm and Pocket PC devices, as well as Windows and Macintosh notebook and desktop computers. A trial version of eReader, along with a bundle of six free books including bestselling mystery, romance and reference titles, is available at www.ereader.com/products/ereader/trial.

PowerByHand will be exhibiting at BookExpo America in Chicago on June 3 – 6, 2004. Please visit booth #4732 for a demonstration of eReader Pro and the eReader.com website.
