Romantic Times to Host NY Book

Fair and Booklovers Convention

NEW YORK, NY/2/11/04—The 21st Booklovers Convention sponsored by Romantic Times Bookclub Magazine, is expected to attract several thousand readers and writers of popular women’s fiction, romance, mystery, fantasy, erotica, and more.

The event will be held in Manhattan March 24-28 at the Holiday Inn Martinique Hotel at 49 West 32nd, between Broadway and Fifth Avenue. A convention highlight will be the Wild Book Fair, hosted by the magazine from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday March 27 in the Hotel ballroom. The book fair is open to the public with sales conducted by Waldenbooks and Ballston Book House. A star-studded line-up of well-known writers will be on hand to autograph their latest books.

The convention kicks off with sight-seeing tours followed by an all-day session for beginning writers on Tuesday, March 23, then an advanced writers program, “How to Succeed in Publishing Without Really Crying,” on Wednesday, March 24, 2004

A number of major publishers will participate with editors representing Avon, Ballantine, Bantam Dell, Dorchester, Harlequin, Kensington, Penguin, Pocket, St. Martin’s, Warner, and others. Nearly 30 agents also will be on hand.
