Publisher Acquires
Village Voice
NEW YORK, NY/10/25/05The Village Voice, known for its anti-establishment views, has been acquired by New Times Media, a large weekly newspaper chain with publications in California, Florida and elsewhere.
New Times Media said it would not change the Voices independent journalistic approach and promised not to clone the newspaper as another corporate sheet. Key executives for both companies will remain in their posts and the Voice will continue its free-thinking style.
