To Release Book

By Terrell Owens

IRVING/TX/3/21/06—New Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens has sold a book about his controversial two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles to Simon & Schuster for publication in July 2006. The book, tentatively titled, Ineligible Receiver: The Real Story of My Journey from the Super Bowl to the Sidelines, will cover the sports star’s degenerative relationship with Donovan McNabb and will cover the details of Owens arbitration hearing.

David Rosenthal, executive vice president and publisher of Simon & Schuster, said in a statement that “It’s an important chapter in the long-term struggle for players’ rights in the NFL.” Senior editor Bob Bender will edit the book, which has been called “an unflinchingly honest account of life in the NFL.”

Owens was recently traded to the Dallas Cowboys.
