June 15-30, 2005 Edition PEOPLE Corwin Named Rodale President

Tami Booth Corwin has been promoted to the new post of president at Rodale Books where she will oversee all sales and marketing. She also remains the publication’s editor-in-chief. She also will be scouting for a new trade operations publisher to replace Amy Rhodes, who is leaving the company.

Rodale has been a leading publisher of information on healthy, active lifestyles for more than 60 years.

Putnam Marketing Head Leaving

NEW YORK, NY/06/13/05—Dan Harvey, senior vice president of Putnam Publishing Group, is leaving the company at the end of June, 2005. He will remain in a consulting capacity through the end of the year. Putnam head Ivan Held said he is seeking someone to assume Harvey’s marketing and advertising role, but not as a publishing director.

Rippon to Depart HarperCollins Design

NEW YORK, NY/06/10/05—Laurie Rippon is leaving as vice president and publisher of HarperCollins Design, after only a year in the post. Marta Schooler, who joined the company in 1999 and has served for six years as a consultant to the Design unit, will assume Rippon’s job. Rippon will stay on as an editor-at-large through July.
