Once a year, IBPA grants the prestigious Benjamin Franklin Award to some of the best books available from independent publishers. The 2015 Benjamin Franklin Award finalists, announced today, include nearly 160 incredible books shining light on fresh voices and unique perspectives from across the country.
Gold award winners will be revealed Friday, April 10, 2015 at a special ceremony during IBPA’s annual Publishing University in Austin, TX
“Independent publishing is diverse and thriving,” said IBPA Executive Director Angela Bole, “The 2015 Benjamin Franklin Award finalists represent some of the best our growing community of independent publishers has to offer. We’re pleased to recommend them without reservation.”
The 2015 Benjamin Franklin Awards program includes fifty-five categories recognizing excellence in book editorial and design. The program is regarded as one of the highest national honors for independent publishers. Today’s announcement pays respect to all finalists. During a a special ceremony on Friday, April 10, 2015 at IBPA’s annual Publishing University in Austin, Texas, one Gold award winner will be revealed in each category. All are welcome.
