Feiwel & Friends
To Co-Publish Kids’
Books With Macmillan

NEW YORK, NY/7/10/2006—Two divisions of Holtzbrinck Publishers—one in the US and the other in the UK, will co-publish certain titles beginning in the fall of 2007.

Feiwel & Friends, a new Holtzbrinck imprint in the US, and Macmillan Children’s Books in the UK, will jointly acquire and release children’s titles to strengthen the publisher’s overall impact in the children’s market.

Feiwel & Friends is the new children’s book imprint formed in May by Jean Feiwel at Holtzbrinck. Sarah Davies heads Macmillan Children’s imprint.

The first jointly published books will include a new series by Australian author Andy Griffiths and the debut novel by Lily Archer, The Poison Apples. Other forthcoming titles include The Little Secret by Kate Saunders and The Black Book of Secrets by F.E. Higgins.

Feiwel & Friends’ first published title will be the self-published book On the Night You Were Born, by author and artist Nancy Tillman, which will be released in October 2006. On the Night has 35,000 copies in print since its debut publication last fall.
