About Legal Battle
NEW YORK, NY/07/18/04According to CNN/Money and The New York Post, Martha Stewart plans to publish a book about her legal battle.
The homemaking maven apparently has kept a detailed diary throughout her highly publicized trial for lying to investigators about a stock sale. The Post said she intends to write a book based on the notes, and quoted her agent Nicholas Ellison as saying that such a deal might bring high six-figures or even seven-figures.
Stewart was convicted last March of obstruction of justice, making false statements and conspiracy, and has been sentenced to five months in prison, five months of home confinement, and two years of probation, plus a fine. She plans to appeal the ruling.
