OAKLAND, CA/7/10/08– Ask.com (www.ask.com), a leading search engine and wholly-owned business of IAC last week completed the previously announced agreement to acquire Lexico Publishing Group LLC, owner of Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com, and Reference.com.

Ask.com, a wholly-owned business of IAC (Nasdaq: IACI), is one of the leading general search engines on the Internet. The Ask Network of sites has more than 130 million worldwide unique monthly users according to April 2008 comScore data. Ask.com syndicates its search technology and advertising solutions to a network of affiliate partners.

Ask.com is a growing unit within the IAC/InterActive Corp group based in New York. IAC plans to spin off four of its largest businesses and focus on Web media and advertising in coming months.

The transaction was first announced on May 15. Terms of the all-cash merger were not disclosed.
