Nelson Books Publisher Departs

NEW YORK, NY/11/13/06—Jonathan Merkh, senior vice president and publisher of Nelson Books and Nelson Business, is leaving at the end of November. Nelson is instigating a new Strategic Publishing Unit which is said to be a factor in his leaving. He had been with the company for 12 years. He will be succeeded by associate publisher Brian Hampton, who will manage both Nelson Books and Nelson Business until he moves into the role of senior vice president and publisher of corporate brands.
