Ingram Content Group (“Ingram”) announces an executive, internal, re-alignment. The shift will help focus efforts in Ingram’s wholesale business and their growing distribution services.
Since the 2016 Ingram Publisher Services LLC acquisition of Perseus Distribution, Ingram continued an “Upstream” / “Downstream” reporting structure. “We’ve learned a lot in the last year and are continuously looking for ways to become more efficient in our wholesale business while providing ‘best in class’ services to our publisher distribution clients,” said Shawn Morin, Ingram’s CEO and president.
“Our wholesale purchasing group, led by George Tattersfield, will now report to Shawn Everson, Chief Commercial Officer, aligning our ‘buy side’ with our ‘sell side’ in wholesale. In support of the distribution business our Shared Services Sales Team, acquired with the Perseus distribution brands, and led by Jeanne Emanuel, will now roll up to Phil Ollila, Chief Content Officer and the leader of our distribution and services businesses,” continued Morin.
“As Ingram aligns the buy and sell side of its wholesale business, my goal will be to ensure our upstream and downstream partners understand the importance of a healthy wholesaler inside the supply chain,” said Everson. “I am excited to begin working with our publishing partners for ways to further innovate and grow as this industry continues to consolidate,” added Everson.
“The growth and success of our distribution business is tied to the strength of our sales team, aligning all of distribution sales with the distribution business will help us bring even more value to our clients,” said Ollila.
