New York, NY/5/31/07—Quest Books will launch its new logo at this year’s BookExpo America, June 1-3 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.In business since 1965, Quest is internationally recognized for releasing books on world religions, ancient wisdom, modern science, philosophy, and the arts. The Chicago suburban-based company is now changing its “face” with a fresher, more contemporary logo design that communicates their continued commitment to publishing books on topics that are at the cutting edge of the cultural conversation.

“It was important for us to keep our trademark ‘Q’ which many have come to know us by but with a far more contemporary and clean look than the old and with multiple layers of meaning,” says Quest marketing director Nicole Krier. “As you can see, the sweeping line within the ‘Q’ may be perceived as an open book or even a path. It may also be seen as a bird taking off into flight, a metaphor for the soul’s journey. In all instances, the logo identifies Quest as a dynamic and reliable resource for all those seeking spiritual healing and self-transformation.” Conference-goers will be able to celebrate the new logo launch with Quest, as staff will be giving away tote bags displaying the new design.

Also showcased at BEA will be technology expert Steven R. Vedro’s Digital Dharma: A User’s Guide to Expanding Consciousness in the Infosphere (Oct. 2007 – ISBN 978-0-8356-0859-6 – 220 pp – $16.95 paper), a hip and witty guide to being spiritually aware in our hi-tech world. Vedro will be signing galleys of Digital Dharma from 9:30-10:30 AM on Sat., June 2, at table No. 2 in the “Salute to Health & Lifestyle” section of the traditional autographing area. He will also do an in-booth signing from 1-2 PM at Quest Books booth #3806 in the NBN pavilion.

In Digital Dharma, Vedro helps us discover wisdom in the technologies that surround us so we can bridge the gap between our modern lifestyle and our spiritual practice. He compares media forms such as laptops, cell phones, PDAs, GPS locators, HDTV, and wireless Internet to the ancient yoga system of the seven chakras to demonstrate how we can use the media to evolve our consciousness and communicate in new ways with ourselves and with each other. Vedro will have visuals of the chakra-media model on display at the Quest Books booth and give personal consultations to those interested in identifying which area of communication, according to the model, they need to work on most.

Vedro calls this new path toward greater self-awareness and enlightenment our Digital Dharma. Following this path, says Vedro, helps us recognize the impact of technology on our inner lives and teaches us to overcome the challenges presented by modern media.
